Now’s your chance to celebrate the medium and its iconic characters at the 18th annual Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival.
National and local artists, writers, book shop owners and cosplayers will gather to bond over brave heroes, gorgeous artwork and compelling narratives that take comics well beyond just “picture books.” This year’s special guests include Gabriel Hardman (Green Lantern: Earth One), Jeff Parker (Batman ’66), Joe Keatinge (Popgun) and Violet Karim (Summer Vamp), who will discuss the genres and craft of comics. 9:30 a.m., free, Clark County Library, thelibrarydistrict.org. –Amber Sampson
