Application Process

Thank you for your interest in joining the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District!

Here’s what you can expect from our hiring process:

Job Application Submitted by Deadline

In order to be considered for a position, you must submit your application by the posted deadline.
Make sure to answer all screening questions or your application will be marked as incomplete.
If your application is incomplete, you will receive an email reminder to log back in to complete your application before the posted deadline.
If you meet the application deadline, you will then receive an email confirmation.

Qualification Review

Your application will be carefully reviewed by a real person—not by AI. We appreciate the time and effort you put into applying.
If you meet the minimum qualifications for the position, you will receive an email inviting you to complete a Core Values Assessment. This assessment is required to continue moving forward in the hiring process.
You will only need to complete the Core Values Assessment one time if you are applying for multiple positions.
You can check the status of your application at any time by logging back into your dashboard.

Notification

After the hiring manager has reviewed all qualified applications, these candidates will be contacted in one of two ways:
- Those who have been selected to move forward to the interview phase will receive a phone call from the HR department.
- Those who have not been selected to move forward will receive an email from the HR department thanking them for applying.
Candidates selected for an interview will typically be contacted by phone within two weeks to schedule an interview.

Choice of PPO or Engaged Care Plan.
Coverage available for: Employee Only; Employee + 1; OR Employee + Family.
90% paid by the District, 10% paid by employee.
Employed Spouse — If your spouse works and does not take the medical coverage offered by their employer, your spouse must sign a Medical Affidavit and there will be a charge of $300/month.
For Full-Time employees only. Part-Time employees are not eligible.

**Sick

- 3.7 hours accrued per pay period (12 days per year) for full-time employees.
- 24 bonus hours awarded annually for minimal use of sick leave usage: 40 hours or less used in a year and no unpaid time off.
- Unused hours will carry over from year to year with no maximum limit.
- Upon separation, the Library District will pay 60% of unused sick hours for employees with three (3) or more years of service upon separation.
- For Full-Time employees only. Part-Time employees are not eligible.
