George Fielder is a self–taught artist who has been painting for over 55 years. Originally from Detroit Michigan, Fielder studied at Highland Park Community College to be a medical illustrator. He has now worked as a chef and culinary expert for over 40 years, and was a member of the Alliance of Black Culinarians, which was founded by T.E. Williams in 1991. He first began as a dishwasher with Boyd gaming, then worked his way up to sous chef, assistant room chef at the Mirage Hotel, and finally to executive chef at Joker’s Wild. Most recently, he has been teaching culinary skills to youth at The Spring Mountain Youth Camp on Mt. Charleston.
