Artist Statement
From head to toe (literally) most of the works of art here are a representation of an artist (me) influenced by jazz and the musicians who perform it. A world influenced by the art of dance, primarily of the Argentinian style tango. But let there be no borders. Also included is my love of urban/African American style subject matter and landscapes. --Kenny James
Kenny James is a singer/musician/entertainer whose world is surrounded by all kinds of very colorful artists. He is frequently on the road performing with traveling tours, etc., and so he prefers to work with acrylic paints due to the medium's quick drying time. His subject matter is whatever captures his attention, including fellow musicians, landscapes, and even abstraction.
