The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s permanent art collection started in 1974 with donations from local artists and library customers. Since that time, the collection has grown to over 400 works of art and become one of the most comprehensive collections of local art held by a public agency in Southern Nevada.
The majority of the permanent art collection is proudly displayed throughout the District’s branches. However, this exhibit tour features selections from the 30 pieces that have hung at the Windmill Service Center since it opened in 2011. Now this diverse grouping of art will travel to each of the LVCCLD’s galleries, showcasing work that has rarely been accessed by the public.
