If you live outside of Clark County, you can apply for a Nonresident Instant eCard, which provides limited access to our online resources. For example, Nonresident eCards do not provide access to our eBook and eAudiobook collections through Libby and hoopla.

Please read the following information carefully to better understand what you are agreeing to when you apply for a Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Instant eCard:

Email Address

Upon successful registration, we will use the email address you have entered to send the library card number and PIN (personal identification number) for the account. This information may then be used to access:

Streaming movies and music
Digital magazines and newspapers
Online materials that you borrow, stream, or download
Online learning tools for test preparation, research, language learning, and more!

Your email address will also be utilized to share interesting and timely eNewsletters and announcements from the Library District and Foundation. You may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.

You can change your PIN through the My LVCCLD Account page or by visiting your nearest library branch with valid photo ID.

Verification of Identity

For your identity protection, we are required to verify your personal identity to open a library account for you.

By completing the Instant eCard application online, you consent to allow the Library District to use a secure, trusted third-party vendor (Ekata) to verify your identity.

ACCESS TO PHYSICAL ITEMS + DIGITAL CONTENT + ONLINE RESOURCES

Our traditional library card offers the added benefit of checking out physical items from our library branches, as well as streaming and downloading digital books, movies, music, magazines, and more on our website at TheLibraryDistrict.org.

To sign up for this type of library card, please visit any of our 25 convenient locations and stop by the customer service desk. If you already have an Instant eCard (which provides digital-only access), you can still upgrade to a traditional library card at any of our branches. Please bring your valid photo ID and proof of current residence (e.g. valid driver’s license and billing statement with current address).
