Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival Welcomes Andréa Gilroy

Andréa Gilroy, PhD (University of Oregon, 2015) started her comics career in academia, teaching courses, working with academic conferences, curating comics exhibits, and building free educational material online. In March 2020, she opened Books With Pictures Eugene, in Eugene, Oregon.  Despite terrible timing, the shop survived the pandemic. Andréa is thrilled to build and grow a space that uses the power of comics and the passion of fans to build community.
