TeenTober ’22 A Month-Long Spooky Teen Lollapalooza!

TeenTober is back with a whole new theme! Teens can join us throughout the month of October to learn new skills and discover how the Library District can fuel their passions. This year we are celebrating with fun "They're Here - 80s Fright Night" events planned across the Library District's 25 unique branches, plus hair-raising reading recommendations from our staff! Check out our lists below … and did we mention that everything is FREE!?  Do you follow us on social?  Check out the #13YAReadsofHalloween starting on October 19 when we will feature a chilling new book each day leading up to Halloween.

This TeenTober, take a walk through our haunted house of horrors...if you dare. Celebrate your survival by enjoying some pizza! For Tweens & Teens ages 11-17.

Escape Rooms:

80s Thriller Escape Room - Registration is required
Saturday, October 15 from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. (first session) & from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. (second session)
Sahara West Library
Are you up for a challenge? You have one hour to solve puzzles and riddles to escape from our 80s thriller-themed room. Registration is required and begins online on October 1. Located upstairs in the Parent's Room.

Haunted Games:

Fright Night Haunted Aisles
October 1 - October 31
Windmill Library
Solve the Mystery of the Fright Night Haunted Aisles! Pinhead, Jason, Freddy, Michael and Pennywise are well known for their crimes against humanity...but what about their lesser known crimes?  Find the clues hidden in the haunted aisles at Windmill Library and gather evidence to help you figure out which Hollywood horror villain is most likely to commit each of these misdemeanors and on what day in October. Game sheets are available at the Information Desk throughout the month. One prize per player.

Friday, October 7 from 5:45 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Play glow games and dance the night away after the library closes.

TeenTober Lock-in
Friday, October 21 from 5:45 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Moapa Valley Library
Come for teens-only activities after hours!  There will be games, a movie, and fun craft.

Thursday, October 20 from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Learn the dance steps to Thriller. Just in time for Halloween! Upstairs in the Board Room.

Trivia:

Horror Trivia
Thursday, October 13 from 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Come in for a "screaming" good time with horror trivia. Prizes will be awarded in the Teens@ Lab.

Movie Scare-a-thon

Join us in the Teen Zone for a day of classic PG-13-rated 1980s horror films in celebration of TeenTober and enjoy pizza, popcorn, and drinks! Check with the Youth Services Desk for the film schedule.

Tell scary ghost stories & make a creepy spider jar with LED candle to take home! Supplies and space are limited, so please pick up a ticket at the Enterprise Youth Services Desk 30 minutes prior to the program.
