In Home Means Nevada, Sarah Robles captures the essence of Las Vegas through the unfiltered lens of film photography. Using in-camera techniques like multiple exposures and filters, she transforms the city’s neon energy into striking, layered compositions. Each unedited photograph explores light and texture, offering a surreal, reimagined view of Las Vegas.
Statement:
I exclusively use 35mm film on my Canon AE-1 or 120 film on my Bronica ETRSI to capture all of my photos. When taking a photograph, I see it as creating art. I enjoy experimenting with multiple exposures and using filters to enhance my images. By stacking images on top of each other, I strive for the best result. I take pride in not editing any of my photos; I confidently share what the local lab sends me.
