Artist and UNLV professor Pasha Rafat brings together other artists for a contemporary, abstract-sculpture group exhibit.
I have worked closely with the artists in this exhibition. Most are former Master of Fine Arts students from the UNLV studio art program and all have a diverse approach to contemporary practice. A few of the participating artists are working in traditional painting, design and fiber, some with interest in digital and time-based imagery, and others have interest in sculpture in an expanded field. I was curious to see, while organizing the exhibit, how the ideas/objects would come together and hope for further conversations to take place amongst the artists and the Las Vegas community. --Pasha Rafat
