The unique artwork of Leather or Knot explores the use of leather and fiber as both a visual and tactile medium in contemporary assemblage sculpture. Incorporating wet molded leather and fiber along with non-pliable, reclaimed materials allows the artist to add to the fluidity of his work.
Glynn Galloway is a self-taught artist who recently retired from his professional career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist after 30 years of clinical practice, and a 24-year veteran of the United States Navy. His three-dimensional, free-standing and wall-mount assemblage sculptures, made almost entirely of antique objects, wet molded leather, and reclaimed materials, have earned awards and been exhibited across the western United States including the 2017 Urban Arts Festival in Salt Lake City, UT; the 2018 Reno Art Fest in Reno, NV; and the 2019 Redlands Art Fest in Redlands, CA.
