This exhibit, coordinated by Corey Fagan of First Friday Foundation Las Vegas, features artworks by Del Sol High School students created in reaction to social issues that impact the world and that we deal with in our day-to-day realities.
Young people are often perceived as self-centered, TikTok-loving, phone addicts. However, the students of Del Sol demonstrate through their art that they care deeply about the issues that affect their family, friends, and community. They show that their generation is aware of the societal ills they will inherit, deal with them daily, and strive to be a part of the solution.
The mission of this exhibit is to give students a platform for them to go beyond being consuming observers and become participating creators. Through art, students are empowered to speak up and be heard, no matter their age and background
