UNLV MFA: Craft Fields

UNLV’s Master of Fine Arts program presents Craft Fields, an exhibition that examines the relationship between material practice and conceptual inquiry within contemporary craft.  The works on view highlight how artists engage specific materials and processes as a means of articulating ideas, emphasizing how making itself becomes a form of thinking. These material choices carry layered meanings shaped by their historical associations, cultural contexts, and continued use within everyday life. By drawing on, or deliberately subverting, established traditions of technique and craft, the artists position their work within an ongoing dialogue between inherited practices and the shifting boundaries of what craft can be.
