Lucid Dreams of a Vivid Wilderness is a collection of acrylic-on-canvas paintings that explores the intersection of Imagination, emotion, and the natural world. Created through an intuitive process guided more by Instinct than strict planning, the works transform landscapes, animals, and celestial imagery into symbolic reflections of the inner self.
Mountains appear throughout the collection as symbols of grounding, solace, resilience, and security. Vibrant dreamlike landscapes invite viewers into imagined wildernesses where emotion shapes the terrain. One work features a coyote, embodying untamed freedom and Instinct, while another expands beyond the earthly landscape into a vivid galaxy scene, evoking wonder, spiritual exploration, and the vast unknown that exists both within and beyond human experience.
Nature serves as both refuge and mirror within the series, offering spaces for reflection, healing, and connection. Through bold color, symbolism, and imagined environments, the collection invites viewers to wander through a wilderness of memory, feeling, and possibility, creating their own stories and meanings within each scene.
Artist Statement
I am a painter and nature-inspired artist whose work explores emotional landscapes through vivid acrylic paintings guided by intuition, symbolism, and the natural world. My creative practice is rooted in Blessed Art Life, a philosophy centered on creativity, healing, resilience, and the belief that life itself is blessed through the act of creation. The environments within my paintings are not replicas of existing places, but imagined dreamscapes shaped by inner experience, reflection, and emotion. Mountains, galaxies, wildlife, and organic forms appear throughout the work as symbols of grounding, freedom, transformation, and connection. Earth is my muse, and I often look to the natural world as both refuge and teacher. I view the earth as my oldest living ancestor, and many of my paintings are inspired by listening to the quiet wisdom carried through landscapes, seasons, and wild places. My process begins with only a small amount of planning and unfolds primarily through instinct. Color choices emerge intuitively, allowing emotion and atmosphere to shape each piece. Painting gives form to states of being that can feel difficult to express through words alone. Rest, solitude, and reflection are recurring themes within my work. Across cultures and throughout history, mountains have often served as places of retreat, healing, and renewal. In a similar way, my paintings seek to create spaces where viewers can pause, reconnect with nature, and discover their own stories within the landscape. Through Blessed Art Life, I hope to encourage creativity, personal growth, and greater awareness of the role that art, rest, and connection to nature can play in emotional well-being
