Artist Statement
A food stylist by trade, my eye is trained to make food look good for the camera. For the past 24 years, my food styling has been seen in many places such as the ships of Princess Cruises, the paint store of Dunn Edwards, on packages at Costco, websites such as Amazon Fresh, and in magazines and cookbooks such as Nancy Silverton’s Twist of the Wrist. Most recently my turkey made it to the cover of Geary’s of Beverly Hills fall catalog.

I’ve worked in New York City, Los Angeles, my home state of Idaho, as a french fry specialist for Lamb Weston and now at Las Vegas casinos and restaurant in Las Vegas. Since being in Las Vegas, I’ve had some exciting jobs such as styling Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday celebration for Dole on Channel 13 News, styling bacon-wrapped turkey and jalapenos for rapper Coolio, and Hormel Bacon on Access Hollywood; or working in a poolside cabana styling amenities for the Venetian Resort. I’ve also styled cookbook covers for a local book publisher. And I recently worked with "Bento Box Queen" Suhlee Jessica Woo for her debut cookbook Let’s Make Some Lunch

Since childhood I’ve enjoyed creating art. As an adult I have taken drawing and oil painting classes. Recently, I brought home some pretty fruit left from a ramen noodle photo shoot and decided to paint it as a still life. I enjoyed creating those colorful paintings so much that it sparked the idea to paint some of the images I’ve food styled over the years.
