Celebrated annually from September 15 to October 15, Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to reflect on the rich history, culture, and vast contributions of this diverse community, whose ancestors hail from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Hispanic Heritage Month presents an excellent opportunity to honor, and learn more about, the unique voices and perspectives that make up this fascinating culture. You will find everything from family storytimes and fun crafting classes to enriching events and programs, live performances, and art exhibits at our 15 award-winning galleries, by checking out the Library District’s FREE Hispanic Heritage Month events! We truly have something for everyone at our 25 unique branches throughout the month.
We have also compiled a curated selection of books, music, and movies featuring Hispanic themes, that you can check out, download, or stream from our vast collection. You will also find educational and entertaining online resources that you can browse 24/7 with your FREE library card...such as learning to speak Spanish!
