Explore The Library District’s Free Teen Tech Labs

Most jobs in the next decade will require the use of technology. The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Foundation is working in partnership with Best Buy, Cox Communications, NV Energy, SWITCH, and Union Pacific to give youth from across the Vegas Valley FREE access to STEAM tools, training, and video production experiences to expand their digital skills and prepare them for the next generation workforce. The Library District's Teen Tech Labs provide access to STEAM-based learning environments and programs, plus teens are able to create, experiment, and increase their technical knowledge while gaining important social skills nurtured through collaboration, problem-solving, and interest-driven learning.

Step into these Teen Tech Labs and you will find state-of-the-art tech equipment including professional recording studios, video production and audio editing equipment, DJ Labs, sewing machines, green screens, 3D printers, robotics, knitting machines, digital cameras, iMacs, desktop & laptop computers, virtual reality, drones, Raspberry Pi's, Littlebits, Ozobots, and so much more. Each of these Teen Tech Labs provide free interactive learning spaces that teens can explore technology and learn how to use it with the help of other teens and trained adult mentors.
