Artist Statement
After a career as an Early Childhood Educator, I am now able to actively pursue my lifelong passion for art. My artistic journey has been shaped through self-study, a variety of workshops, and five inspiring years of mentorship under Mary Shaw. I continue to welcome every opportunity to learn and grow as an artist.
Much of my inspiration comes from the beauty of God's creation and the simple, everyday moments that often go unnoticed. I’m drawn to the challenge of capturing that beauty in my paintings—hoping they bring a smile, evoke a cherished memory, or offer a sense of peace.
I’ve been honored with numerous awards for my watercolor work and am proud to be a Signature Member of the Nevada Watercolor Society. I’m also a member of the City Light Artists Co-op and the Sun City Summerlin Art Club, where I teach Beginning Watercolor. My work has been exhibited in New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada, and is held in private collections across the country.
