Clay Arts Vegas: As American as the State Fair

As American as the State Fair: A Celebration of 250 years of the USA

In As American as the State Fair, Clay Arts Vegas honors the nation’s 250th birthday by turning to one of America’s most enduring cultural touchstones: the state fair. These fairs have long been places where communities gather to celebrate local pride, savor regional flavors, and revel in the delight of spectacle and tradition. Through ceramic forms both functional and expressive, the artists of Clay Arts Vegas explore the textures, colors, and emotions that define this quintessential American experience. This lively collection draws inspiration from funnel cakes and Ferris wheels to blue‑ribbon pies, carnival barkers, and warm summer nights, celebrating the traditions that continue to bring communities together as we mark 250 years of shared history.

Clay Arts Vegas is a working/teaching pottery studio located in the center of the Las Vegas Valley. Beyond offering classes in wheel throwing and hand build CAV is the local clay and pottery supply store as well as ceramics gallery. CAV prides itself on offering classes that are project driven so that students build a wide range of skills that they can then apply to their own work. Their Master Workshop series brings some of the top ceramic artists in the world to Las Vegas for weekend intensive hands on classes.
