Black History Month Celebration 2026 with the Library District

Black History Month celebrates the diverse voices, histories, perspectives, and experiences of the Black community, and each February, we honor its rich culture and significant contributions to every aspect of American life. 

We invite you to learn more by exploring the Library District's wide variety of FREE events and programs for kids, teens, and adults. From live concerts and dance performances, to author visits, art exhibits, and craft classes, you will find something for everyone at our 25 unique branches!
