One of the 20th century's best-known and entrepreneurial artists, with his ever-present cigar and handlebar moustache, Leroy Neiman was known for his impressionistic portraits of athletes, musicians and the international high life. When Neiman learned that a museum dedicated to the history of organized crime and law enforcement was being built in Las Vegas, he was inspired to illustrate the likes of John Gatti, Bugsy Siegel and many more for what became The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. This exhibition from The Mob Museum and the LeRoy Neiman and Janet Byrne Neiman Foundation, features works of art portraying Al Capone, Meyer Lansky, Frank Costello, John Gatti, Bugsy Siegel, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, John Dillinger, Mickey Cohen, and others.
