LAS VEGAS (September 14, 2025) – In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District has a thrilling and educational lineup of FREE events and programs for kids, teens, and adults from September 15 to October 15. The community is invited to experience live concerts, imaginative dance performances, enlightening author visits, creative art exhibitions, and hands-on craft classes across The Library District’s 25 unique branches.
“Hispanic Heritage Month is a vital reminder of the contributions Hispanic communities have made to our nation and the world,” said Las Vegas-Clark County Executive Director Kelvin Watson. “Our events, along with a curated collection of books, music and movies, are designed to raise awareness of this important month and the ongoing challenges faced by these communities. Additionally, we offer educational and entertaining online resources available 24/7, accessible with your FREE library card.”

Fiesta Folklorico – A Celebration of Culture and Dance! (Kids – Teens – Adults)
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Danzantes del Puerto will bring to life a vibrant array of traditional dance forms that evolved from the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire, showcasing the diverse rhythms and movements that have shaped Mexico’s dance traditions.

Mexican Folk Art Mirror (Toddlers – Preschoolers – Kids – Teens)
Attendees will make and decorate their own Mexican mirror to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

Attendees will make their own moving sculptures of a monarch butterfly just in time for the Mexican Monarch butterfly migration.

The Groove Culture Band (Adults)
Drummer and percussionist Jose Pepe Jimenez presents The Groove Culture Band. The project fuses folkloric rhythms from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean with funk, jazz, and rock to take audiences on a unique musical voyage.

Piazzolla – A Tribute to Astor Piazzolla (Adults)
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a salute to Astor Piazzolla, the Argentinian composer who revolutionized traditional tango music. He created “nuevo tango” by blending tango with elements of jazz and classical music.
