Library District Kicks Off FREE Fall Events with Annual TeenTober Celebration

Mystery & Mayhem Themed Events, Activities, Movies & More Just for Teens PLUS Fall Favorites for the Whole Family

LAS VEGAS (October 1, 2025) – Head to the library this fall for a jam-packed season filled with thrilling events in branches and online for the whole family.

During October, our annual TeenTober celebration brings a host of frighteningly-fun teenfriendly events surrounding the “Mystery & Mayhem” theme from Fingerprints & Forensics with the Mob Museum, to Mystery Embroidery, and an online Virtual Escape Room.

Throughout October and November, find annual fall favorites such as the Summerlin Library Outdoor Fall Festival, Enterprise Library’s Fall-O-Ween Festival and a host of spooky Halloween and seasonal themed events in branches and on our website

Frighteningly-Fun TeenTober Events:

Whodunnit! - An Interactive TeenTober Scavenger Hunt (Tweens – Teens – Adults) All month-long starting Wednesday, October 1, 10 a.m., Rainbow Library Someone has broken into the National Gallery of Fine Arts and stolen a priceless artifact, the Jewel of Atlantis. Several suspects have been rounded up. Follow the clues to solve the mystery and determine who has stolen the jewel!

Fingerprints & Forensics (Teens) All month-long at multiple Library District locations The Mob Museum will teach teens how to identify and analyze fingerprints in this mysteriously fun and scientific workshop.

Fine Arts Friday – Mystery Embroidery (Teens) Friday, October 3, 3:30 p.m., Sahara West Library Teens will let out their inner artist with this exciting round of activities. *Due to the level of instruction for this program, no one will be permitted into the program 10 minutes after the program's start time.

Investigating the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre (Teens) All month-long at multiple Library District locations True crime meets history class in this special bullet analysis workshop with the Mob Museum. Participants will examine the landmark crime that turned people against Prohibition and introduced them to forensic science.

Teen Art Lab – Edgar Allen Poe and Haunted Mini Tins (Teens) Monday, October 6 & 13, 3 p.m., Clark County Library Participants will dive into Edgar Allen Poe’s poetic darkness and craft their own eerie miniature worlds in haunted Altoid tins.

Teen Tuesday – TeenTober Art Contest (Teens) Tuesday, October 7, 3:30 p.m., Centennial Hills Library Teens are invited to participate in this special art contest, using ink and paints provided by the Library District. Participants will create unique finger art on canvas, with entries displayed and available for public voting throughout October. The winner will be announced by Wednesday, November 5 and receive a brand-new art set as the grand prize. Limited to one entry per person

Halloween-Inspired Events For All Ages:

Friday, October 3, 4 p.m., Moapa Valley Library Monster Bash – Halloween Event - This family-friendly event invites guests of all ages to enjoy a variety of games and the chance to win prizes. Costumes are welcome but not required. Face painting will be available throughout the evening to add to the spooky festivities.

Saturday, October 18, 11 a.m., Enterprise Library Fall-O-Ween Fair - The annual Fall-O-Ween Fair at Enterprise Library is a day of unforgettable fun, food and crafts! Enjoy roving magic with Magician Greg Dow, puppet plays, carnival games and prizes and performers for all ages!

Saturday, October 18, 2 p.m., Whitney Library Spooktacular Halloween Carnival - This all-ages event offers a ghoulish lineup of activities and promises a hauntingly good time for everyone. Come dressed in your Halloween best to enjoy carnival games, crafts and the chance to win prizes. Guests can also get creative with slime making and face painting. Whether you're a ghost, a goblin, or a superhero, you'll have a festive and fun day!

Saturday, October 25, 12 p.m., Sandy Valley Library Halloween Scares - Enjoy a Halloween Haunted House, spooky movie screenings, fun crafts, and get your fortune read!

Thursday, October 30, 11a.m., Blue Diamond Library Spooktacular Halloween Library Party (All Ages) - Ready for the Library District’s annual Spooktacular Halloween Library Party? Come dressed in your costume and enjoy candy, spooky crafts, prizes, snacks, refreshments and more! *The event ends at 5:45 p.m.; Library will stay open till 7 p.m. for trick or treaters.

Thursday, October 30, 3 p.m., Meadows Library Ready, Set, Spook Festival (All ages) - Get in the Halloween spirit with the Ready, Set, Spook! festival, an afternoon of festive fun for all ages. Kids and teens can enjoy games, decorate pumpkins and design their own trick-or-treat bags, while adults can join in on seasonal crafts. Afterward, guests can head to the parking lot at 4:30 p.m. for the Stupak Trunk-orTreat to continue the spooky fun!

Friday, October 31, 6 p.m., Moapa Town Library Halloween Trunk-or-Treat (All ages) - Join the Moapa Town Library and Clark County Parks & Recreation for a fun-filled Trunk-or-Treat! Held in the Moapa Recreation Center parking lot, this event invites the whole community to get in the Halloween spirit. Enjoy a night of spooky treats and cast your vote for the best-decorated trunk.

Saturday, October 11, 11 a.m., Mesquite Library Glitter & Gold Resource Fair (All Ages) - Join us for the third annual Glitter & Gold resource fair, a vibrant community gathering that celebrates learning, fun, and connection!

Saturday, November 8, 10:30 a.m., Sahara West Library Teen animeFEST (Teens) - Teen animeFEST is a library-sponsored anime & manga convention for teens in grades 6-12!

Saturday, November 1, 9:30 a.m., Clark County Library Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival (All Ages) - Calling all comics fans! Get ready for a day of comics, cosplay, lectures, and more at the 17th Annual Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival! The Library District is bringing together local and national artists and writers, comic book shops, cosplayers, and crafts makers for a full day celebration of all things comics.

Saturday, November 8, 11 a.m., East Las Vegas Library Day of the Dead Celebration / Día de Muertos (All Ages) - Join the East Las Vegas Library in partnership with Chicanos Por La Causa for the Library District’s fifth annual Día de los Muertos celebration, where the community is invited to come and honor their loved ones who have departed. Enjoy traditional Mexican crafts for all ages, a community ofrenda, car show, mural painting, live music and dancing with the celebration ending in a lively calaverita parade through the library and outdoor plaza.
