Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Welcomes New Passport Services Office at Rainbow Library

Since Launching Passport Services in 2017, the Library District Has Processed Nearly 8,000 Applications.

LAS VEGAS (November 19, 2025) – The Las Vegas–Clark County Library District today celebrated the launch of Passport Services at Rainbow Library (3150 N Buffalo Dr. Las Vegas, NV 89128). This is the Library District’s second location offering this high-demand service, following the successful pilot program at Windmill Library where nearly 8,000 applications have been processed since opening in 2017.

Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Executive Director Kelvin Watson and staff cut the ribbon on Wednesday, welcoming the new office which will provide residents with a convenient, local option for this necessary government process. As an official Passport Acceptance Facility, the new office will verify identity and review passport application documents to be processed by the U.S. Department of State, and can process documents for first-time applicants.

"The Library District is committed to providing services that meet real-world needs and access to passport services is a perfect example," Watson said. "As more families travel, relocate, or need identification to access opportunities, the demand for passport processing has grown. By expanding this service to Rainbow Library, we are helping residents navigate an essential federal process in a familiar, trusted, and convenient community space."

To take advantage of this service, customers can visit the Passport Services page on the Library District website (https://thelibrarydistrict.org/passportservices/) to review full details - including fees, required documents, and application guidelines - and must schedule an appointment at either the Rainbow Library or Windmill Library. Walk-in services are not available.
