A Cosmic Celebration with Expert Speakers, a Film Screening & Family Fun
LAS VEGAS (Sept. 4, 2025) – The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District invites all curious Earthlings and extraterrestrial enthusiasts to step into the unknown at AlienFest, a cosmic celebration of all things aliens, adventures, and intrigue on Saturday, September 27 at Windmill Library (7060 West Windmill Lane). This FREE, one-day event will feature a close encounter with renowned journalist and UFO expert George Knapp, a screening of the documentary Who They Are, a Q&A with the film's writer and director Jeremy Norrie, and a day of family-friendly, alien-themed activities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
AlienFest will bring together believers and the curious for a day of strange and fun encounters. The event will kick off with Galactic Storytime at 10:30 a.m. followed by the headlining events:
- 10:30 a.m. Galactic Storytime: Enjoy thrilling tales of space adventures, alien encounters, and interstellar friendships.
- 11 a.m. George Knapp: As the keynote speaker and special guest, American journalist, news anchor, and talk radio host George Knapp will share his insights from decades of work focused on the paranormal and UFO phenomena.
- 12 p.m. Darrell Clulow: Assistant National Response Director for the International UFO Bureau and former Chief Investigator for MUFON in Nevada.
- 12:30 p.m. Alien Costume Contest: Guests are encouraged to come in their best alien, astronaut, or other space-themed cosplay to compete for prizes.
- 1:00 p.m. Who They Are Documentary Screening: This documentary explores the alien phenomena, asking who is flying UFOs, where they come from, and why they are here.
- 2:00 p.m. Q&A with Jeremy Norrie: Following the screening, join the documentary's writer and director for a Q&A session about his work on the film and other viral phenomena.
In addition to the main stage events, Windmill Library will transform into an intergalactic hub with themed decor and activities for all ages, including:
- UFO Kids Craft Station
- Caricature Artist drawing guests as aliens
- Alien-themed video games
- Alien Bingo Scavenger Hunt
- On-site vendors offering alien swag and local food trucks
Free and open to the public. Seating and participation are first-come, first-served, and may be limited.
