FREE Literacy Kits Continue to Support Early Childhood Learning
LAS VEGAS (July 15, 2025) – A popular program for young children at the Enterprise Library is receiving additional funding to keep it growing and thriving! Launched in 2024 with a three-year, $36,000 donation from VegasTickets.com, plus funding from the David L. Simon Foundation and anonymous donors, the Lil’ Learner Kits program is designed to equip families with resources that promote interactive learning and bonding at home. Now, with a new $25,000 commitment from VegasTickets.com, the monthly program will enable the Youth Services team at the Enterprise Library to continue curating these Lil’ Learner activity kits, which spark creativity and support developmental learning for children ages 3-8.
Lil’ Learner kits offer a different theme each month, with parents and caregivers eagerly flocking to the library to receive one. The kits are loaded with goodies for learning, including books, skill-building exercises, crafts, and activity projects. As with everything at the library, the Lil’ Learner kits are FREE and provided to families at the Enterprise Library’s monthly Preschool Fun Storytime and Club STEAM events.
“The Lil’ Learner kits provide families with meaningful tools to build new literacy and learning experiences beyond storytime,” said Enterprise Library Branch Manager Marie Nicholl-Lynam, who created the program. “And thanks to the continued generosity of VegasTickets.com, we’re able to expand access to these engaging, hands-on learning opportunities for young children across the Las Vegas community.”
Lil’ Learner Activity Kits are free and available for pickup at the Enterprise Library (located at 8310 S. Las Vegas Blvd.) after the first Preschool Fun Storytime (ages 3-5) and first Club STEAM (ages 6-8) event of each month. Kits are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
