Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following: Marks out, stamps and removes RFID tags from discarded materials, boxes discarded materials, sorts CDs and books on carts, shelves materials, puts away magazines, processes paperback books and special duties as assigned by staff.
Qualifications:Minimum 18 years old; ability to read and understand basic English; follow written and verbal instructions.
Training: Orientation to the library and library policies.
Time Commitment: 4 - 12 hours per week for 16 weeks.
Job Title: Volunteer, Book Sales Warehouse
Responsibilities: Assist with online book sales operations at our sorting facility at the Sahara West Library located at 9600 W. Sahara Avenue. We're looking for volunteers that can come in once a week to help with processing materials, organizing donations into genres for our book sales and assisting with online sales listings. We have morning and afternoon shifts available, 9 a.m. - noon, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Qualifications: Minimum 18 years of age. Must follow directions and guidelines. Able to work independently and with little supervision. Some knowledge of libraries, public interests and reading trends desirable. Ability to lift heavy boxes (desirable but not required).
Training: Library orientation and library policies.
Time Commitment: 2 - 12 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
Job Title: Volunteer, Book store
Responsibilities:Stocks and weeds book sale shelves, sorts and evaluates donations. Assists with branch book sales. Processes discarded library books for on-going book sale. Sorts through gifts and separates possible collection additions and sale material from non-usable donations. Waits on customers and assists them in finding books, as well as restocks and straightens shelves when it's slow. Evening or weekend volunteers will need to open/close, reconcile till, receive donations and occasionally answer questions. Maintains an attractive, neat book sale area.

Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following: Labels and stamps books/magazines/comic books, tapes materials, marks out discarded materials, cuts paper, shelves DVDs, sorts page carts, shelves materials, cleans materials, decorates for and assists at special events, prepares crafts for regular programs, gathers books for displays and special duties as assigned by staff.
Qualifications: Minimum 14 years of age to 18. Ability to read and understand basic English and follow written and verbal instructions.
Training: Orientation to the library and library policies.
Time Commitment: 4 - 12 hours per week for 4 weeks.
