Software cannot be installed on library computers; you can only use software that the Library District has pre-installed on the computers.

All LVCCLD library branches offer free Wi-Fi.  We offer two public library networks, “Library Wi-Fi ages 17 and under” for persons under the age of 18, and “Library Wi-Fi ages 18 and over” for persons over the age of 18.

All LVCCLD library branches offer laptops for use within the library.  You must be a Clark County resident, have a full-service library card in good standing (fines/fees below $10), and present a valid photo ID to check out a laptop.

Children under the age of 18 must have parental permission and present their library card with a red “I” sticker to check out a laptop.

Laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis, are available for a two-hour checkout period, and should not be left unattended at any time.

All LVCCLD library branches offer hotspots for check out.  LVCCLD residents, ages 18 and older with a full-service library card are eligible to check out a Wi-Fi hotspot kit to take home.

A Wi-Fi Hotspot is a device you can use to connect mobile devices such as laptops, smartphones, or tablets to the Internet. The Hotspot is portable, will connect up to ten devices, checks out for 21 days, and can be placed on hold.

Wi-Fi hotspot kits must be returned to the service desk from where they were checked out with all components intact to be checked in. Hotspots not returned by the due date will be deactivated; there is a late fee of $0.25 per day (up to $4) and the replacement cost is $79.99 plus a $10 processing fee.
