Sandra Vivian Lund: Emotions

“Emotions”

Through my art, I strive to reveal the hidden treasures within the human soul—bringing them into the world as visual expressions of energy, emotion, and truth. Beyond the "human costume" we wear on this journey through life, there is something much deeper—something invisible to most, but never to the artist.

Artists often see what others cannot. Sometimes, we glimpse the pain and darkness people hide. Other times, we see the beauty, the light, and the fragile emotions that shape them. We sense the stillness of a heart afraid to feel and the boundless freedom of a soul ready to embrace its true self. My art seeks to capture these contrasts—the wounds and the warmth, the shadows and the brilliance—so that they can be seen, felt, and understood.

Art has the power to surprise the soul, sometimes even to unsettle it by revealing what was once hidden. But this is its gift—to reflect who we truly are. Our souls are drawn to art because, in essence, we are art. Unlike time, distance, or age, the soul knows no boundaries. Sometimes, the way we feel inside does not match the way we appear outside, but art has the unique ability to strip away the surface and make the soul visible, immortal.

I want my work to show you colors you've never seen before, emotions you've never fully embraced, and truths you’ve never imagined. Art connects us, moves us, and keeps our spirits warm. It invites us to pay attention—to feel, to see, and to understand something deeper within ourselves and each other. --
