Artist Statement
I am a Las Vegas artist originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I work primarily with oil on canvas, painting portraits and figures in a traditional style. In my life, my work has made me realize that a painting is worth a thousand words. In this idea of art, I’ve been able to use my own abilities to depict a story that not only projects a new life, but also includes my own experiences. I include my own interpretation on the thoughts, feelings, and life of the person I depict. It's this fusion of reality and the imagined that infuses my art with a realism that allows viewers to establish a tangible connection with the individuals I paint. Ultimately, my aspiration is to impart that same strength and happiness that fuels my creativity to all who engage with my art.
