Artist Statement

My name is Monica Carlisle, and I am an artist based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. I am constantly inspired by the vivacious energy that Las Vegas exudes in its never-ending swirl of sights and sounds. Capturing the energy of music in this collection breathed new life into my creative soul as I explored the possibilities of hue, line, shape, rhythm, and movement. The results are a unique fusion of color and sound vibrations frozen in a moment of time. Including rustic and urban elements in the mix invokes a one-of-a kind journey into contrasting styles and particularly iconifies the guitar. In presenting this collection, I invite you to rediscover the beauty of ordinary objects and feel the resonance of music, as I did with every stroke of paint.
