The Las Vegas News Bureau and the Nevada State Museum have thousands of unidentified photographs and need the public’s assistance in identifying the people and places in the images. Visitors with information about the photos are asked to submit completed information slips into the provided ballot box.
The Las Vegas News Bureau, part of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, has worked with news agencies for 70 years to photograph and maximize exposure of news and events in southern Nevada.
The Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas, located within the Springs Preserve, has thousands of photographs dating from the late 1890s to the 2000s. From Hoover Dam to casinos, the photo collection is a treasure of southern Nevada history.
