Korea Calligraphy Art Association: Hangeul Enlightens the World

In the global world, we can communicate with others across borders. We live in an era where Koreans are fans of American dramas and Korean songs create a global craze. We share cultural empathy despite national boundaries. A new era where we can share our multicultural life has finally arrived.

The power of science opened the door and made it possible, but the power of culture is now illuminating the way. The recent popularity of Korean pop culture such as K-Pop and K-Drama has drawn attention to the Korean writing system known as Hangeul. Using this opportunity, the Korea Calligraphy Art Association artists intend to share how beautiful Hangeul is by delivering meaning through beautifully written characters in various fonts.

The art of calligraphy expresses beauty, emotion, and empathy through flexible analog characters, dynamic lines, use of material, and compositional balance. The Korea Calligraphy Art Association believes that the sincere messages and life experiences embedded in their artists’ calligraphy can promote empathy and healing of the audience.
