I’ve fallen in love with the high desert and its calm, open beauty. Driving around remote parts of Nevada and Utah is where I feel most at home in the world. I hope to share some of that feeling with these photos, which take me back to sleeping in the back of the truck, learning new constellations, smelling sagebrush, and listening to coyotes howl back and forth to each other across the valley. --Kara Hetrick
