Cristina Ramos Kiss was born into a circus family in Mexico, where she began performing as an acrobat at a young age. Her life of travel and performance eventually brought her to the United States, where she met her husband while working with the Ringling Bros. Circus. The couple later settled in Budapest, Hungary, married, and started a family, continuing to perform across Europe before returning to the U.S. in the early 1990s and making their home in Las Vegas.
Alongside her career in the circus, Cristina nurtured a lifelong passion for sewing, a skill she began developing as a child while helping her mother. Over the years, she created costumes for herself and her family’s performances, eventually building a distinguished career in theatrical costume design. Her work has been featured in iconic Las Vegas productions including Jubilee at Bally’s, Storm at Mandalay Bay, Jersey Boys, Phantom of the Opera at Paris, and most notably, Celine Dion’s A New Day at The Colosseum.
Now retired from professional costume design, Cristina has returned to her craft with a renewed personal focus, creating intricate, heartfelt pieces using needlework and beading. This exhibition showcases her latest work—intimate, expressive creations that reflect a lifetime of performance, artistry, and dedication to the beauty of handmade design.
