Bruce Hecksel's Terra Guitarra (guitar landscapes) are glittering, stained glass-like, acrylic paintings where almost every element in the composition is a guitar shape. Using the guitar as a symbol of the vibrational nature of our world, these vibrant landscapes are pulsing with joy and infinite possibility. The paintings suggest the whole earth is singing and asks if we find harmony with it.
This exhibit hosts a portion of the original Terra Guitarra paintings that are featured as an animated background in the multimedia Landscape of Guitar production. The performance by the award-winning duo Patchouli & Terra Guitarra will take place at Clark County Library on May 13, West Charleston Library on May 14, Windmill Library on May 15, and Summerlin Library on May 16.
