Hundreds of people gathered Thursday morning for a ceremony celebrating the opening of the new Mesquite Library and learning center.
"As we cut the ribbon today, we are not only celebrating the opening of these two beautiful buildings, we are opening doors to opportunity, creativity, knowledge and survival," said Randy Ence, chairman of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Board of Trustees. "We are opening the doors for Mesquite to thrive in changing times."
