Libraries offer free tutoring program for students

With the school year wrapping up in the next month, a lot of students are hitting the books for final exams and papers. If anyone needs help with any subject, the [Las Vegas-]Clark County Library District will have teachers help tutor you for free.

Angela Wilborn started working with Belize 4 years ago, tutoring her after school at the local library. "When I first met Belize. she didn't even know her ABC's. Now she's reading chapter books. Very proud of her. She's come a long way."

Angela is one of the many after school tutors spread out at eight different libraries in our commuity serving more than 9,000 students for free.

Danielle Patrick Milam is the Director of Development and Planning for the Library District. She says, "The library district and all public libraries go on this model of free services, sharing talent and information. For us, it's an ideal program. We're able to offer this to local families who work so hard every day free so their kids will succeed in school and life."
