All Are Welcome is a collaboration between art education students from the Department of Teaching and Learning and
illustration students from the Department of Art at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Working in small learning communities, students created works of children’s literature that focus on inclusiveness and
equity through art. The project began with art education students creating characters and a book length storyline. Upon
the completion of the storylines, each learning community worked with a group of illustration students to bring the
characters and stories to life through visual illustration.
All Are Welcome was facilitated by Professor Chad Scott (Teaching and Learning) and Professor Tiffany Lin (Department
of Art), and is sponsored by the Zeiter Literacy Development Center.
