Moon, Mars, and Beyond!

Come Explore the Moon, Mars, and Beyond Exhibit

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is excited to announce Moon, Mars, and Beyond, an exhibition that aims to excite and educate the community about human spaceflight, the International Space Station, and NASA’s next big step to land the first woman on the Moon! The exhibit, accompanying kits, and activities examines the path towards a permanent presence on the Moon, the International Space Station as the micro-gravity laboratory, and current and future missions to Mars.

The exhibit also explores the differences and similarities between Earth, the Moon, and Mars, how we're getting to the Moon and Mars, how we’ll live there, what we’ll learn, and more. The Library District will have the exhibit on display now through August 4, 2024 at Sahara West Library. Other displays from the exhibit will also be featured at Windmill Library and East Las Vegas Library.

The Moon, Mars, and Beyond is offered by the National Center for Interactive Learning (NCIL) at the Space Science Institute (SSI) in partnership with Education Development Center (EDC). Moon, Mars, and Beyond is supported by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration under grant No. 80NSSC21M0081. The work was also assisted and supported by the Space Science Institute, which was the recipient of the grant.
