DeWayne Alston's photography is rooted in a deep appreciation for the natural world.
I work primarily in black and white because I believe it strips away distraction and reveals the essential textures, forms, and contrasts that define a place. Through my work, I aim to capture not only the physical presence of a landscape but also the quiet, meditative experience of being in it. Each image reflects a moment of stillness and observation, where nature speaks in tones of light and shadow. --DeWayne Alston
