Reading & Activities Program for Kids, Teens & Adults!

May 15 - July 31, 2025

May 15 - July 31, 2025

For Kids & Teens (ages 0-17)

Parents! Looking for solutions this summer? Keep kids engaged over Summer Break with our FREE Summer Challenge program. Kids of all ages can win great prizes while sharpening their school skills in reading, science, art, math and critical thinking. Our theme this year is Discover the World, which you can do every day right at your local library. And it's all FREE!

For Adults (ages 18+)

Summer Challenge isn't just for kids anymore. Adults have their own program, where they can win great prizes like cool swag from the Vegas Golden Knights and Las Vegas Raiders, plus gift cards & items from our bookstores. Discover the World at your local library through engaging programs, art gallery exhibitions, fascinating lectures & more. And it’s all FREE!

How It Works:

Reading + Activities = Fun All Summer Long

To qualify for great prizes, kids, teens, & adults participate in age-customized activities (see below) and fun reading recommendations for every ability. Then track your reading & activities in our special log, and complete all three levels! Track your progress online through Beanstack and you will be automatically entered to win. You can also track your progress on a paper log, available at any Library District branch, then drop it off at any branch to be entered.

Two Ways to Track Your Progress!

Go to Beanstack: Create an Account or Sign in

All ages can use Beanstack to track their progress and qualify to win prizes! Simply click on Beanstack, opens a new window to get started. It is also available as an app for either iOS, opens a new window or Android, opens a new window. Complete all three levels on Beanstack and you will be automatically entered for a chance to win.
